I'm participating in an amazing fundraising event for the International Rescue Committee and I need your support!
My name is Awas Amin, and I am an Afghan-American senior in high school. After the Taliban takeover in Afghanistan in 2021, I became very interested in aiding refugees in their transition to the United States. On top of getting involved with many local efforts, I wanted to use my crocheting skills to make a difference as well, which is why I started The Plushie Project.
The Plushie Project is a nonprofit organization where we sell handmade crochet plushies and donate all of the proceeds to the International Rescue Committee. Check out my website theplushieproject.wordpress.com and my instagram @the.plushie.project.
It's my goal to raise as much as I can for this incredible cause and I’m asking for your help. Will you join me by making a tax-deductible donation? It’s fast and easy to do, and many will benefit from your generosity. When an emergency strikes, the IRC responds quickly, aiming to be on the ground within 72 hours to help people with clean water, urgent medical care, critical supplies, and other assistance. We stay for as long as we are needed, helping people and communities to rebuild.
Thank you for your support! Together we can make a difference for refugees around the world.
