Our NY and NJ Emergency Fund, used exclusively for clients’ most acute needs, is nearly depleted and we need your help. This fund is a transformative resource that has helped family after family cover crucial housing, food, and health costs during their initial arrival to the NY and NJ area. Please consider donating today to help IRC continue to provide New York and New Jersey families with critical emergency support when they need it most.

Of all of the things a newly arrived refugee family has to think about, finding a new home is often one of the most important – and most difficult -- of these to navigate. The affordable housing crisis in New York and New Jersey has made it harder than ever to find safe housing for arriving families, often resulting in costly stays in temporary housing as IRC’s housing and logistics team works to secure permanent housing for new families. This has put additional strain on the IRC in NY and NJ’s Emergency Fund, and we need your help to replenish this fund to continue providing this essential support to families.

Please donate now to the IRC in NY and NJ’s Emergency Fund, and help a family care for their most basic needs as they rebuild their lives in New York and New Jersey.
